During windstorms and hurricanes, windborne wreckage can impact windows, with gusting, pervasive winds to follow. The broken glass fragments adhere to the interlayer and maintaining the homes defense from the wind, rain and forced entry. Laminated impact glass adds security and cannot be cut from one side only, which renders glasscutters useless.

LoĒ²-272 glass, the clearest choice for total comfort

Provides all year comfort and protection at 20 below or 110 in the shade. LoĒ²-272 blocks enough solar heat that cooling loads can be cut by 25% or more compared to ordinary low-E and clear glass. This high solar heat gain can contribute to more than 50% of air-conditioning costs.
